Safety first

The reason the method exists.

Every technique ANIC uses traces back to two commitments: send everyone home safe, and protect the ground and the assets beneath it.

Quick answer

Why is hydro vac safer than mechanical excavation? Because high-pressure water cannot sever a buried utility the way a backhoe bucket can. It keeps crews out of the trench, exposes lines precisely, and dramatically reduces the risk of a strike, an injury, or an environmental release.

Protecting people

Fewer crews in the hole.

Non-destructive excavation means less time spent in open trenches and less exposure to cave-in and strike hazards. Our field practices and signage — like the constant reminder to look up for overhead wires — keep safety front of mind on every site.

Protecting the environment

Cleaner ground, responsible disposal.

Our training minimizes environmental impact as much as possible while maintaining a safe workplace. Spoil is vacuumed and hauled to a proper disposal facility — never left to contaminate the site. The result is a smaller footprint and a cleaner finish than traditional excavation.
